Custom Surge Vessel Fabrication - Single & Dual Compartment
TransTech Fabrication delivers top-quality surge tanks, designed and fabricated to your specific, custom configurations for storing liquid hydrocarbons following separation. Surge tank options include single or dual compartments and can be designed and fabricated to accommodate a wide range of volumes and pressures.
Surge tanks are designed to address unpredictable pressure changes by neutralizing both sudden pressure increases and sudden pressure drops, to prevent system failures and blowouts. Often referred to as calibration or gauge tanks, surge tanks are also effective for measuring liquid flow rates and can provide an alternative method for measuring shrinkage and meter factor of produced crude oil.
Our surge tanks can additionally be used as a second stage, two-phase separator when fitted with optional gas and fluid metering. Surge vessels can be particularly well suited for this purpose when a longer retention time is needed for effective separation of gas and fluids.
Our surge tanks can be customized to your exact specifications to suit a broad range of applications and offer operational flexibility including bypassing and/or co-mingling of gas, oil or water.
We offer both single- and double-compartment vessels as needed. Dual compartment tanks allow independent compartment operation providing the ability to empty one tank compartment while filling another.
All our surge tanks can be equipped with pressure relief valves and level alarms to prevent overfilling. Tanks can also be fitted with temperature, pressure and sampling ports, as well as a bypass manifold.
Our experienced team of engineering and fabrication professionals will deliver your surge tanks to your exact specifications, within the shortest possible lead time and at the best possible price.
With one of the most extensive inventories of new and used ASME pressure vessels in the countrywe’re able to offer a wide array of options for addressing your surge tank needs—and tremendous flexibility in addressing your project schedule and budget requirements.
