Gas Scrubbers

CUSTOM GAS SCRUBBER FABRICATION

TransTech is a leading provider of gas scrubbers to the upstream oil and gas industries.  Backed by decades of experience, our expertly engineered and precision fabricated gas scrubbers deliver effective yet economical removal of liquid particles from the gas stream, when its removal is an imperative ahead of further processing.

While available in two- and three-phase configurations, gas scrubbers are not intended to replace production separators (See details about our standard production two-and three-phase separators here.), although a gas scrubber may be used as an alternative to a standard separator for wells that produce unusually light oils or condensates.

Generally, our gas scrubbers are designed to handle applications where the gas stream has a high gas-to-liquid ratio as often exists following initial processing via standard production separator. And while the ‘scrubbing’ process does replicate the operation of a typical two- or three-phase separator in most respects, with a high-efficiency vane-type mist extractor our gas scrubbers are particularly effective at removing small particle trace liquids from the gas stream.

Our three-phase gas scrubber options provide the additional capability of removing solids in addition to liquids from the gas stream, ameliorating fine particles such as iron sulfide and other impurities which, if not addressed, can wreak havoc on pipelines and equipment over time.

We offer custom gas scrubbers in both horizontal and vertical orientation, constructed to your exact specifications. Let our experienced team of fabrication experts provide end-to-end delivery of your gas scrubber including engineering, design, fabrication and test, delivery and installation—within the shortest possible lead times—for seamless project execution and fast start-up.

APPLICATIONS

  • Downstream of any equipment that prompts liquid condensation from the gas stream
  • Upstream of gas treating equipment that contains wet or dry desiccants (which could be impaired or destroyed by liquid hydrocarbons

  • Upstream of valuable mechanical equipment and pipelines to protect them from damaging free liquid
  • Under certain circumstances, in place of a two- or three-phase separator for wells that produce unusually light oils or condensates.

FREE ASME Pressure Vessel Material Analysis - MAWP - Max Allowable Working Pressure Guidance

FREE Preliminary Vessel Material Analysis

Without the right data to optimize your vessel design, it's easy to miscalculate design pressure by overcompensating for MAWP.  This can lead to incorrectly sized vessels and other  issues including unnecessary costs, underperforming assets—and disappointing ROI,

Let our AMSE vessel design experts assist you with a FREE preliminary material analysis!  We'll help you determine the right material grade & thickness for your pressure rating for optimal vessel performance, often leading to:

  • Reduced overall vessel weight—and cost
  • More economical constructability
