Gordon brings more 40 years experience to TransTech Energy and is well recognized as one of the "true gentlemen" of the LPG industry. Gordon is responsible for our Operations and OPS (Office of Pipeline Safety) divisions of the company. Gordon is eminently qualified for this position having overseen highly sensitive safety issues for Amerigas Propane, LP and Columbia Propane. He also brings years of experience at the District Manager level for both Amerigas and National Propane, which allows a detailed understanding of the most fundamental aspects of customer's daily operation.
Gordon is an acknowledged expert in the design and implementation of Safety Management Systems, OSHA and USDOT Regulatory Compliance, and LPG Facility and Operations Management, and prior to joining TransTech Energy he enjoyed a very successful career with some off the top companies in the LPG industry:
AmeriGas Propane, LP (OPS and Special Projects Safety Manager – District Manager)
Reporting to the Director of Safety & Technology, accountable for bringing 700 Districts into DOT OPS regulatory compliance. Developed an OQP (Operator Qualification Program) plan and conducted “Train-the-Trainer” classes. Designed and maintained a training database ensuring that all employees received the required initial training and re-training. Directed the development of a PSM (Process Safety Management) plan for all supply terminals and PPX cylinder filling locations.
Columbia Propane (Southeast Region Safety Manager -Regional Training Manager)
Reporting to the Director of Safety and Engineering, accountable for ensuring that all bulk plants were maintained in compliance with the requirements of NFPA 58, State and local Authorities. Conducted DOT audits at District locations to ensure compliance. Conducted training classes on various topics with all District employees.
National Propane (District Manager)
Managed and operated various District locations, accountable for all aspects of running the local business including budgeting, financial results, customer service, employee safety, and protection of company assets.
