TransTech Energy is your source for propane vehicle conversion systems.  With all the different alternative fuel choices and types of conversion systems out there it's hard deciding on what the best solution is for your fleet. TransTech Energy offers objective alternative fuel vehicle recommendations as we are not bound by one system or one manufacturer. We offer solutions for both gasoline and diesel engines to pair up the perfect conversion system tailored to your fleets needs.

Did you know that Propane is produced right here in America?

90% of the propane used in the U.S. is produced domestically. 7% is imported from Canada and Mexico. The majority of the propane produced here in the U.S. is a by product of natural gas refining. Because of this Propane is a key part in distancing our nation from foreign oil controlling nations while at the same time cleaning up our environment and reducing vehicle fleet operating costs.

Propane is nearly equal to gasoline in its performance characteristics.

Propane's 104 pump octane rating and low carbon and oil contamination characteristics can result in documented engine life of 2 to 3 times that of gasoline. Propane vehicles have the longest driving range of any alternative fuel. Propane has a range 250 percent farther than compressed natural gas, about 60 percent farther than methanol, and 25 percent farther than ethanol.

Propane is a safe and environmentally friendly fuel.

Propane as an alternative fuel has by far the best chance of changing our environment, now, not later.  On average, Propane vehicles reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 19%; create 20% less nitrogen oxide; up to 60% less carbon monoxide; and fewer particulate emissions, compared to conventional gasoline. The numbers are impressive but almost equally impressive is how safe Propane is in the environment as a motor fuel. Propane is not considered a greenhouse gas. Propane vapor will not cause air pollution. In the unlikely event of a Propane spill there would be no soil contamination, as Propane would harmlessly disperse into the air. Propane vehicle tanks are constructed from carbon steel under code developed by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). A propane tank is 20 times more puncture-resistant and can withstand up to 4 times the pressure when compared to a typical gasoline, methanol, or ethanol tank. In addition, a properly installed propane tank can actually add to the structural strength of a vehicle.
