LPG Services Manager - Job Overview


Trans-Tech Energy (“TTE”) designs, builds, installs and services storage and handling systems for liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) and natural gas liquids (NGL). Market applications include upstream, midstream, and downstream energy markets in the Americas and Caribbean.

The LPG Services Manager will lead the LPG Services Division and be responsible for developing comprehensive field service inspection, repair & maintenance programs to support the company’s LPG distribution and downstream industrial end user customer base.

Primary Functions & Duties:

  • Development of a Maintenance & Inspection Program for Jurisdictional Gas Distribution Systems that are classified under 49 CFR Part 192 (OPS – Office of Pipeline Safety) which will include: 

    • Guidelines for inspections, service, and repairs
    • Develop and maintain the required forms & documentation for required to support the program
    • Ensure that all Field Service Technicians working on OPS Jurisdictional Systems are properly trained and certified to safely and successfully complete their jobs
  • Develop a comprehensive Field Services, Repair & Maintenance Program and determine the required resources to perform the work safely and successfully
  • Formalize hourly rates for field service crews to perform OPS and Field Service repairs
  • Manage the team directly dedicated to this division
  • Set clear goals and objectives as well as evaluations for team members and/or contractors
  • Develop/Manage annual service plans for the following:

    • Vaporizer/Regulator annual PM plans
    • LPG Bulk Plant Inspections
    • Create all necessary estimation and & quote tools, checklists and reports for inspections and PM work
  • Make required adjustments as necessary to forms, rates and procedures based on work performance and client feed back
  • Work closely with the Manager of Field Services to coordinate required resources (labor and equipment)
  • Interface with various disciplines throughout the organization and communicate effectively
  • Field work/travel is required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience required
  • Must have minimum of 5+ years of LPG industry service management experience
  • Must have working knowledge of all NFPA 58,59,54 standards, API 2510 as well as 49 CFR 192 codes related to Office of Pipeline Safety
  • Project management, field experience & survey skills are required
  • Must be proficient with MS Office tools, experience with Autocad, SalesForce CRM, and ERP systems is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
